Term 4 Week 8: 2022
From the Principal
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Annual School Improvement Plan
This week I have been working with Mr Scott Murray- Acting Principal for 2023, and our TCEO Education Team Laurence Hosking, Katherine Nelson, Anita Livingston and Krista O’Connor to complete our Annual School Improvement Plan for 2023. Our School Improvement Plan focuses on creating goals and future directions for our school that are relevant for our context. Moving into 2023 we have a focus around our Catholic Identity and Culture, using data effectively, a whole school focus on Indigenous Perspectives and to upskill our staff to continue providing authentic and quality learning experiences for our students.
Swimming Carnival
Our Small Schools Swimming Carnival is on tomorrow! You would have received a letter yesterday detailing all of the important information you need! Please meet us at the pool at 8:30am for an 8:45am start. We look forward to a great day!
Reporting
Our reports are being released next Wednesday 30th November. If you have not done so, please ensure you have access to COMPASS as our reports will only be released from this platform.
Have a great weekend,
Sharn Greenaway
Principal

Year 3/4 Happenings
Are you excited for the Swimming Carnival on Friday? We are! We have been practicing with the 5/6's on our war cries for team Burke and team Wills. We are ready to cheer each other to the finish line and show awesome school spirit. (P.s - Miss Allison says Go Burke!)

Year 5/6 Happenings
We have loved having the year 4 students join us in the 5/6 classroom and are looking forward to them joining us next year. We have had lots of fun challenging our brains and completing tasks such as a maths escape room, a scientist research task, some writing about the best part of us, Italian days of the week and numbers and even some dancing.

Wellbeing contacts for the holidays
Although most students are excited about the prospect of a break from school
during December/January there are many that may feel saddened by the
thought. Being at school gives students the opportunity to connect with their
peers each day without having to try and make plans which can sometimes be
very difficult. Additionally, the school provides a good routine and sense of
purpose and connection.
Parents are obviously best placed to monitor their child's well-being over the
lengthy holiday break and these contacts may be very helpful also. Additionally,
School TV can be accessed via the school website and it is a fabulous source of
information and support https://www.sfsh.catholic.edu.au/students/schooltv/.
