Dear Parents/Caregivers,

Fete

We are almost there and our staff have been busily preparing for our 2022 Fete. A big thank you to everyone that has put their hand up to help, we appreciate all of the assistance as many hands make light work. We hope to see you all there from 6pm to enjoy what will be a fantastic night!

R U OK Day

We were lucky enough to have our Guidance Officer Britt here a few weeks ago to engage the children in some R U OK Day activities. The children participated in conversation starts and a small workshop in which they covered the front of our school in beautiful affirmations. A big thank you to Britt for organising such a wonderful learning experience for the students. I hope you’ve managed to check in on a friend today to make sure they’re OK!

School Photoshoot

Next week is our school photoshoot with Andrew Rankin and staff from TCEO. Every 2 years we update these photos for marketing and promotional purposes. We ask that the students are dressed in their formal uniform with black shoes, white socks and look neat and tidy please.

Outback Futures

The team from Outback Futures is back next week to run parent and student workshops around building resilient children. Kath, Anne and Andy have a wealth of knowledge to share and families are all welcome to join the workshop on Tuesday 13th at 3pm in our library.

Prep/1/2 Happenings

This week we’ve been learning all about patterns, counting patterns, colour patterns. We even made our own patterns using beads and thread!

Year 3/4 Happenings

In Maths, we are learning about Probability. In this lesson, we made a variety of different spinners and discussed the probability of landing on each colour. We then spun the spinner 30 times each, and seen how many times each colour landed.

Year 5/6 Happenings

We love specialists in 5/6! This term we have been exploring the different decades through dance, learning coding with minecraft education, developing our resilience in health and working on our paintings for the silent auction in art. We have been having a lot of fun.
