Term 3 Week 3: 2022
From the Principal
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
It has been another busy week for us here at St Francis. I have been in the Prep-2 classroom teaching our little people whilst Miss Brown has been unwell. I always love the opportunity to get into the classrooms and teach again.
Catholic Education Week
This week we celebrate Catholic Education Week. The theme for Catholic Education Week in 2022 is: Communities of faith, hope and love. I strongly believe our school encompasses all of these. As a staff we strive to create an environment that feels just like a family, full of faith, hope and love in everything that we do! We will be bringing our school together Friday morning to celebrate Catholic Education Week with a liturgy at 9am in our assembly room followed by a delicious cake to share. We welcome all of our families to join us in marking this special occasion.
Mulkadee
Mulkadee was a hit on Friday night and our students all had a fabulous time. We are so grateful for the opportunity to particpate in such a unique experience in which the students learn from some of the best in the business! Our choir extraordinaire Ms Rachel Cairns and our amazing students always have me in awe at how well they learn and perform a range of songs in just 1 week! A big congratulations to all of the students that participated and thank you to Miss Howie and Miss Eriksen for taking the kids along and providing them with wonderful opportunities.
Commonwealth Census
The Non-Government School Census will be beginning on Monday the 1st of August through to Friday the 5th of August. It is a requirement that you have access to and are aware of the privacy notice related to The Non-Government Schools Census for 2022. Miss Millie has placed the Privacy notice on COMPASS for your viewing, please ensure you read this, no action is required by you as a parent, the notice is to simply make families aware that the Census is happening next week!
Have a fabulous weekend,

For English, we are practicing writing poems! This week, we wrote a limerick as a class, practicing the AABBA structure and finding rhyming words. If you can see it, Alex and Adley are standing with our poem we wrote together as a class, called "A Cat named Phil". I hope to fill this board with more awesome poems soon!
