Term 2 Week 10: 2022
From the Principal
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
What a fabulous end to the term with our annual Athletics Carnival being held yesterday. It was a great day all round and I loved seeing the wonderful sportsmanship from our students. We have now sent off the 10-12 years nominations for the Mid-West carnival. Unfortunately, the Mid-West carnival is in Mulkadee week and the North West Athletics is the Saturday after the Mulkadee Show. We do however commend all of the students for their efforts throughout our school carnival.
I feel holidays has come at a very good time with the COVID cases in town becoming significantly high. If this is still the case after the holidays, we do ask you to follow the guidelines of Queensland Health if your child presents with symptoms, for the safety of all of our staff and students.
The children’s school reports are all now available on COMPASS for parents to access. If you have any concerns about this you are welcome to contact either myself or the classroom teacher for further discussion.
Today we said farewell to Father Mobin as it was his very last celebration with us before he heads off to work in Townsville. We appreciate everything Father Mobin has done for our school and wish him well in all his future endeavours. He will be missed within our school and wider community.
We hope everyone has an enjoyable holidays. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing everyone in Term 3!

In Religion, we learned about the story where Moses helped the Hebrews when the crossed the Red Sea. In the bible story, the power of God split the ocean allowing the Hebrews to cross. Look at this cool art we made to represent the story!
