Term 4 Week 9: 30 November 2021
From the Principal...
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
Welcome to week 9.
We have made it to the end of another school year. This week has been frantic and will continue to be as we wrap the school year up with Rite of Passage and Carols.
There have been enquiries about the structure of the rite of passage. It is an invitation only event as we are restricted by numbers in the hall and COVID rules. The tickets have been issued based on numbers and were returned to families on Monday.
On Thursday we will farewell Mrs Ford from her role as Inclusive Practice Teacher. She is not leaving us for good though, she will be returning as a relief teacher for next year.
The time has come for me to say goodbye to you all. My time at St Francis has been amazing and rewarding. I have met so many wonderful students and families. I have learnt so much about rural life and in particular about how the Hughenden community ticks. I do hope to be returning at some stage to relieve Sharn if it can be arranged.
I am sad to be leaving such a great school, but take solace in knowing that you are in very capable hands with Sharn taking the helm. I wish Sharn, the staff, the families and students a very happy and holy Christmas and all the very best for 2022.

Year 3/4 Happenings...
We LOVE Christmas! We have worked hard on heaps of Christmas crafts, such as christmas bows for the tree, christmas calendars and a cute little christmas wreath! We have also been working on a Christmas booklet, which has heaps of activities, such as writing a Christmas wish list (but the twist is: all the wishes must be for someone other than yourself). We have also been practicing hard for our End of Year concert! Can't wait to see you there!

Year 5/6 Happenings...
What a wonderful year we have had in 5/6 this year. We have had the opportunity this year to do so many fun things, and grow our knowledge along the way. As we move to the end of the year, we are starting to feel sad that the year 6 students will leave us but we know that they are onto bigger and better things. We are excited for all the adventures we will continue to have in year 5/6 next year.
